AI: Apple Intelligence

So when I started my little series on AI stuff, Apple Intelligence wasn't out. That was in about July 2024, about a month before iOS 18 came out.

Now its March 2025, and for all useful purposes, Apple Intelligence is STILL not released.

Yes, the iPhone 16 / e / Pro has it, but no where near the initial promise. And the Siri upgrade has been pushed back, to the point of removing ads from the site.

Oddly my initial draft said:

In released software so far, Apple Intelligence has been a massive fizzle. The tools are next to useless, and every time you do a software update, it turns it all back on.

Some of their published articles about the secure containers they run in the cloud for you are really promising, but they are also not available.

As is normal for Apple (iPad, iPhone, Watch) the hardware is amazing. The software is sorely lacking.

iOS 19? 20? Can you also make iPadOS a first-class OS at the same time? Please?
