This question comes up quite often from various sources:

I just bought mobileAgent, but I login with my My Business Works account, or some other method where I don't have a FreeAgent-specific password! How do I use mobileAgent?

The answer is quite easy, thankfully! FreeAgent allows you to have both a normal email/password combo, and an MBW/other external login.

If you access FreeAgent via a My Business Works, Google account, or some other method where you don't login to FreeAgent directly, then there are 2 ways you can create (or set) your FreeAgent password.

The easiest way is to go to your login page. This is just under your FreeAgent domain:

Hit the "I've forgotten my password" link, and follow the prompts. Your FreeAgent password will be emailed to you, and you should be able to use this in mobileAgent just fine.

The other way, which works just as well, is to set it within FreeAgent. this method may be useful if you don't have access to the email account you login with (for example, it may be a shared account for an office)

To set your Email/Password using this method, log into your FreeAgent account account as normal (so you can see the Dashboard), then:

  1. Click on Settings (top right corner of the browser screen)
  2. Select Users from the next screen
  3. Pick the user you want to change the password for (usually yourself)
  4. Check the login/email field is correct (this is your login).
  5. Set a password further down the screen and hit save.
  6. DO NOT change the OpenID field.

Thats it! Now you can log into mobileAgent using your email and the password you just set.
